Job summary

  • Do you have Physiotherapy experience, excellent clinical skills & are passionate about working as a physiotherapist on a dynamic rehabilitation wards?
  • We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic & committed Band 6 Physiotherapist with rehabilitation experience, to work in a Community Hospital across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
  • You will require skills in providing therapy, gained from experience in either a hospital or community setting. You will also possess excellent communication & problem-solving skills & have a positive approach to multidisciplinary team working.
  • LPT offers a comprehensive mandatory training programme & the successful candidate will also be supported to undertake regular clinical supervision, participate in CPD activities & develop any specific areas of interest.

Main duties of the job

To provide patient centred, goal directed rehabilitation and effectively undertake discharge planning.

To work closely with the team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Technical Instructors and the wider MDT including the Stroke Specialist Consultant, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Matron, Ward Sister, Registered Nurses, Health Care Support Workers, Speech Therapists and Dietician.

To work with the MDT to develop the in-patient service and maintain high standards of care.
