Job summary

Our wards at St Lukes Hospital in Market Harborough are seeking confident and compassionate staff to join our very friendly and effective teams where everyone counts. Our wards are nurse led which will give you high levels of autonomy and satisfaction in delivering excellent patient care. Ward 1 specialises in stroke care but also has medical beds and a palliative care suite and Ward 3 provides sub-acute care, medical step down and palliative care as well as rehabilitation. Successful applicants would have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to help patients in their journey to return home and will also be able to develop their skills in nursing care and discharge planning.

Main duties of the job
Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in a nurse led environment.
Assisting with and contributing to the management and organisation of the ward.
Delivery of high-quality care.
Participating in education, development and supervision of other staff members and students.
Working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of clients/ service users and their families.
