LPT has received additional funding to open extra wards within our Community Hospitals. We are seeking motivated & confident Staff Nurses to work on our two wards at Loughborough Community Hospital. The wards are nurse led which will give you high levels of autonomy & satisfaction in delivering excellent care, supporting rehabilitation & increasing patient independence. If you aim to deliver high quality and compassionate care in your practice then this is the right job for you.

Charnwood Ward admits patients from the acute sector who are medically fit for discharge but are awaiting a package of care, discharge to assess bed or care placement. Swithland Ward provides sub-acute care, rehabilitation & palliative care. The service that these wards provide is essential for maintaining the flow of patients within the health care system.

Main duties of the job

Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in a nurse led environment.

Assisting with and contributing to the management and organisation of the ward.

Delivery of high-quality care.

Participating in education, development and supervision of other staff members and students.

Working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of clients/ service users and their families.
