Job summary
It is an exciting time to join community mental health services as we are developing our neighbourhood teams which will test new ways of providing mental health interventions for adults with severe mental illness and complex needs.
You will work as part of a team to provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective support service to the wider Multi-disciplinary team supported by an agreed work plan.You will use knowledge of health and social services available in the locality, including those offered by the community and voluntary sector, to link people up with these and help them overcome any barriers they might encounter with the aim to help people improve their quality of life and avoid unplanned hospital admissions.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Team Leader/Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join City East CMHT. This is an opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as a Band 7 Team Leader who is an experienced practitioner and will undertake both clinical and operational responsibilities.
The successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently, also demonstrate flexibility in the way they work and are able to take on different roles within the pathway, ensuring a clear leadership vision is maintained.
This service will operate Monday to Friday 9-5 and allows a flexible working pattern, however as part of the new neighbourhood team development, services are exploring options to deliver services over 7 days.
Main duties of the job
As a Team Leader, you will be working within the leadership structure of the Community Treatment and Recovery Services and will be expected to ensure the team adopts the policies and philosophies of LPT.
The post holder will be required to hold their own clinical caseload and hold responsibility for their personalised and recovery-focused care.
The post holder will be required to clinically co-ordinate and lead a multi-agency staff team and provide effective clinical leadership and ensure the provision of a safe, competent and effective service.
Through strong leadership and supporting other team members you will ensure practice is delivered within the team of a high standard and evidence-based.
The Team leader will promote independence, foster a learning culture, enhance the autonomy of the service user and ensure high quality, compassionate, person-centred care.
