Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Therapy Support Worker to join our large innovative community-based team working across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland as part of our children's Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team.

The Children's Therapy Service seeks to provide a high-quality service to children and their families in their home, clinics, nurseries and schools. We have developed pathways within Early Years, Complex Disability, Physical Disability and we also have a variety specialist interests across both Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.

Main duties of the job

You will need to demonstrate flexibility and initiative, to work as part of a Multidisciplinary and Multi Agency Team.
You will need to be able to manage your time effectively.
You will gain support and supervision in order to continue to develop your skills with children and young people. We encourage continuous professional development through both internal and external training.
You need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of working in a community setting, the complexities of working within a family and a multidisciplinary, multiagency environment and be familiar with children's equipment and their use.
Car owner/driver essential as it is unlikely that public transport will meet the needs of this job.
