Job summary

If you don't think a Community Hospital is an exciting place to work, then think again! Our ward at Rutland Memorial Hospital in Oakham offers challenges and a level of autonomy you won't get in larger units. If this is something that appeals to you, then this could be the post you are looking for. The Unit is an 18 bedded medical stepdown, rehabilitation and palliative care ward. It is one of 13 wards which form the Trust's Community Health Services Division. We have just finished extensive refurbishment works and the ward is brighter, looks more spacious and has been upgraded to make work life much improved and it also provides a fresh and wonderful environment for patient care. The hospital opened in 1924 and is one of the oldest buildings owned by Leicestershire Partnership Trust. We would normally recommend and encourage you to visit one of our wards during the application process to give you an insight to the types of patients on our wards, our patient management process with the MDT, how we facilitate timely discharges and communicate this to our patients and their families.

Free parking is available on site.

The local train transport network has a station near the hospital.

The Trust offers comprehensive training and professional development opportunities.
