Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast paced, friendly and committed Administration Team as a Safeguarding Administrator supporting in the LPT Safeguarding Team.

The position is based at Gwendolen House, Leicester General Hospital.

We are seeking to recruit a Safeguarding Administration Assistant on a Fixed Term or Secondment contract for 12 months (with the potential for extension).

The post is 30 hours (0.8wte) per week over 5 days.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated person who enjoys being part of a team. You will need to demonstrate good communication skills, have a flexible approach and be able to prioritise your own workload. Previous experience of using the electronic patient record system (SystmOne) is desirable.

You must obtain permission for a secondment from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

Main duties of the job

To work within the Safeguarding Administration Team, to carry out a range of administration duties to support the Safeguarding Team and Duty Hub.

This will also include liaising and communicating with the Local Authorities and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust staff, by using a range of communication skills.

  • Good general level of education including GCSE in English at Grade C or equivalent.
  • GCSE Mathematics at Grade C or equivalent.
  • RSA II typing qualification or equivalent keyboard skills.
  • NVQ2 in Administration or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience in delivering an efficient administrative service.

Desirable

  • Previous experience of using the electronic patient record system (SystmOne) is desirable
