Job summary

The CAMHS Outpatient Team support families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

An exciting opportunity has become available at The Valentine Centre and Westcotes House working within the Children's, Young People, Families/ Learning Disability and Autism Directorate (FYPC/LDA).

Our patients are central to our care, and your role will be to liaise with families and professionals to offer excellent customer service in a busy office environment.

The Administration team are responsible for completing administration tasks and reception duties including answering the phone, booking appointments and answering queries.

The work pattern comprises of afternoons and evenings from either 12:00-20:00 or 16:00-20:00 Monday-Thursday.It is essential you are able to work until 8pm on your working days.

Main duties of the job

Some of the duties for this role include:

  • You will meet and greet families and young people, and will be calm, friendly and professional and you will be the first point of contact for FYPC staff and managers, CAMHS staff and managers, other NHS organisations and external agencies.
  • To work with existing systems and processes to provide an effective administrative service to the team.
  • To accurately use and maintain administrative systems within specified timescales.
  • To demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
  • To provide high quality customer care to anyone accessing the service, either face to face, via telephone or in writing.
