An exciting opportunity is available to be part of the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) multidisciplinary Tier 3 Weight Management Service pilot!

Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) have a vacancy for a permanent Band 6 Dietitian (0.5wte) to join our friendly, innovative Nutrition and Dietetic team within Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust.

The post holder will work alongside the already established adult weight management dietitians providing a clinical dietetic service for people with severe obesity including assessment, advice and treatment. You will work closely with the LLR Tier 3 pilot participating in the multi-disciplinary team, to discuss complex patients and provide and implement nutritional care plans for these patients.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a dynamic HCPC registered dietitian with experience or an interest in expanding their knowledge around Tier 3 adult weight management. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of the clinical area, team working skills along with an ability to work independently and excellent communication skills with an ability to work with a range of hard to reach individuals.

Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) has a team of approximately 80 staff, made of dietitians, community nutritionists, dietetic support workers, community food workers and support team staff covering the population of Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.

The service is committed to CPD and personal development and we have good clinical supervision models and in-house CPD in place to support you. The service is involved in the pre-registration placements for student dietitians undertaking A, B and C placements, to which the post-holder will contribute.
