Change Manager

A&C Band 7

37.5 Hours Per Week

Fixed term for 12 months / secondment will be considered

This exciting role in LHIS will provide you with the challenge of delivering and co-ordinating one or multiple projects, change activities and embedding new skills and ways of working on behalf of LHIS customers.

The role will demand a high level of flexibility with regard to the work undertaken, and you will need to make sure that you have tangible benefits to customers and patients.

This role will operate within a programme framework to deliver change wherever possible in a coordinated manner across organisations, primarily focussing on GP IT projects but may undertake other projects if required.

Additionally, you will possess in-depth knowledge of the primary care environment, particularly the systems and processes key to running a successful General Practice in today's NHS. The successful candidate will also have an in-depth understanding of IT to ensure a sound base of skills to build delivery of GP IT projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to communicate effectively in various situations, from one-to-one meetings to presenting papers at board meetings.

The individual will be responsible for a team of IM&T facilitators and IM&T Support officers.

Main duties of the job

To provide good leadership and management of resources to develop and sustain a positive working culture.

To work collaboratively with other LHIS staff and clients as appropriate.

To have line management responsibilities for the band 6 IM&T facilitators

To manage IT projects and support training and change functions within LHIS, deliver to the client organisations and coordinatethe service provided by the specialist teams and external suppliers.

To ensure that projects are delivered seamlessly within a single work programme along complete care pathways between healthcare sectors to avoid silo working and retrospective project alignment.

To scope IT solutions for services and systems

To ensure that requests for IT resources are aligned with GDPR

  • Must have a good working knowledge of the functions performed by some clinical and patient administrative systems and the interoperability and integrations between them.
  • Must have an excellent knowledge of change management techniques through practical application.
  • Application of Risk Management within an IT environment.
  • Problem solving capabilities of a high order as this role will have to deal with multiple project resource allocations and contentious influencing issues.
  • The ability to concentrate in a busy support environment, decision making and facilitation skills of the highest order
  • Experience of change management
  • Good Leadership skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills
  • Advanced Skills in MS Office.
  • In depth knowledge and application of skills, in at least both SystmOne and Emis Web GP clinical system, currently used by LLR practices

Qualifications
