Fire Safety and Compliance Manager

Job summary

  • Ensuring the Trust Board has appropriate assurances that the requirements of current fire safety legislation are met across the Trust and, where appropriate, that the objectives of Firecode are achieved.

  • Co-ordinating fire safety issues throughout the organisation's activities.

  • Overseeing day-to-day implementation of the fire safety policies.

  • Ensuring all major Capital schemes inclusive of new construction and renovation works taking place across the Trust, , are compliant with Building Regulations and HTM Guidance with regards to fire safety.

To fulfill the role and the activities of the named person in Service Level Agreements currently or in the future provided by the Trust regarding provision of fire safety support services.

Support an already established Capital team with the managing of fire safety.

Provide Professional guidance to ensure the trust meets compliance on all fire safety related topics

Provide direct line management to the fire safety advisor and any outsourced training facilitators / external contractors

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Membership of NAHFO Qualified Fire Brigade inspecting Officer
  • Specialist Fire Safety Course Fire Service College or equivalent
  • Health and Safety based training and qualifications including Manual Handling Assessment and Confined Spaces.
  • Short courses and experience to Masters equivalent level
