Consultant Psychiatrist Liaison

Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to make a full time appointment for a consultant psychiatrist to work in the well-established MentalHealth Liaison Team based at Fairfield General Hospital. This is a substantive appointment. The appointee will have a lead role in consolidatingthe developments that have occurred within this service recently helping the service continue to develop in order to meet the 'Core 24' standardsdefined by the Department of Health.

the out of hours on-call frequency is low (1 in 30) with full second tier cover and 1 day off afterwards.

Main duties of the job

these include clinical, liaison, educational, managerial and service evaluation roles. Clinical work will include assessment and interventions with

patients in the acute trust and involve working with an expanding multidisciplinary liaison mental health team. the team will promote the

development of skills in this area within the acute trust and pathway development.
