SARC Advanced Pathfinder Worker

Job summary

The post holder will be a Mental Health Nurse or Mental Health Social Worker within the specialist pathfinder partnership with survivors of sexual abuse and violence. The post is primarily identification of potential survivors who may benefit from pathfinder support including liaising with ISVAs and counsellors and other services and providing support to members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in relation to risk management and safeguarding issues.

Main duties of the job

Additionally the post holder will deliver clinical appointments within a range of venues including within GP practices as well as partner organisations across Greater Manchester, or a home setting where clients' needs necessitate this. Clinical appointments include initial face to face mental health, social care and riskassessments (including collecting standardised assessment measures) and case management of an assigned group of clients who require on-going monitoring of their mental health and risk management, emotional and practical support; and the delivery of evidence based interventions for depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Essential

  • RMN or SW
  • Worked within a community NHS setting
  • Delivered a variety of therapeutic interventions within a community setting

Desirable

  • Experience of working with individuals who have a history of sexual violence and abuse
  • Certificate / diploma in CBT / counselling / Level 3 training in EMDR
