Job summary
  Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a full-time substantive Consultant Psychiatrist. This post is based on the Early Intervention Model in Rochdale and is a Community post.
  Main duties of the job
  To provide consultant psychiatric input to a high functioning community EIS as part of a multi-disciplinary service. The role is to provide a comprehensive assessment and NICE concordant treatment package of care to all patients.
To provide high-quality Mental Health Care for adults following the EIS frameworks
To work closely with other teams and Consultants to ensure coherent and high-quality mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems within the Heywood,Middleton and Rochdale (Rochdale borough) area
To work with the MDT to support the development of the service, and to attend local and divisional service development meetings

The Consultants contribute to local service user & carer groups.
The post holder will be based at the Outpatients department Birch Hill Hospital Rochdale. Rochdale operates an Inpatient- Outpatient model (New Ways of Working) and is staffed by 9 full-time Consultants in Adult Psychiatry and old age psychiatry and a nurse consultant on the female adult ward. Each Consultant Psychiatrist is allocated a Junior Doctor (NW Deanery training schemes) to work with them .
