Working within the Infection Prevention and Control team.
Full time (37.5 hours per week)

Helping with the management of infection prevention and control within a wide variety of mental health and LD services.
Where:
You will have an office based at trust HQ but this role trust wide, across the 5 boroughs and Pennine Care footprint (Stockport, Tameside, Bury, Oldham and Rochdale).
Staff are expected to have access to their own vehicle and required insurance to be able to travel to all the boroughs when needed.

Main duties of the job
Main Duties of the job:
Infection Prevention and Control team are looking for a band 5 nurse holding a current professional registration (RGN/RMN/ENMH/AHP) with experience in training, audit and/or PPE management; working in a team in a busy, complex professional environment; the collection of information for the production of reports; carrying out audits and the use of the audit process.
IPC are looking for someone who is able to work as part of teams across the wards and clinical areas but is also able to work autonomously at times. They must have good organisational skills and be able to manage their own time, prioritise effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
The candidate needs a basic awareness of current infections prevention issues facing the NHS; with knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE), correct usage and storage.
