Job summary

The Pennine Care Community Rehabilitation Team is looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Team Manager to lead our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will have significant experience of working with people with chronic relapsing and remitting mental ill health, including experience of working across a number of secondary care services.

The team supports service users to transition from inpatient rehabilitation facilities to living in the community, supporting people to improve their quality of life and work towards achieving their goals. A further aim of the team is to reduce the length of inpatient stay for service users from both acute and rehabilitation wards, incorporating least restrictive practice and the NICE guidelines for complex psychosis.

The team has a strong emphasis on the Recovery Model, working with service users using a strengths based and trauma informed approach to maximise their independence and autonomy to improve their quality of life.

You will receive regular supervision and your personal development priorities will be shared and supported through our appraisal process.

The team is a trust wide service covering all five boroughs of Pennine Care and it is essential that you are able to travel across the whole footprint of the trust. We are currently based at Trust HQ in Ashton Under Lyne although this may be subject to change. Our core hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Main duties of the job

To provide line management and clinical leadership to the staff within the Community Rehabilitation Team.

To effectively manage the resources within the team and the allocation of workload.

To ensure the team adhere to national legislation, local policies and procedures and eligibility criteria.

To be accountable to the Operational Manager for the performance management of the team and for the quality of work provided by the team.

To contribute to service development in collaboration with the Operational Manager and wider team.

To actively contribute to the overall management of the Community Rehabilitation Team, and to ensure the service works to agreed objectives.

To provide strong leadership to the Community Rehabilitation Team to ensure it performs in the most efficient and effective way ensuring all key performance indicators are met, whilst providing a safe and high quality service.

To participate in the Bronze on call rota depending on service need.
