We have an exciting opportunity for a RMN interested in older peoples at Orchard House Day Hospital. Are you interested in a post supporting older people with functional mental health problems to manage and understand their mental health problems better, enabling them to stay out of hospital ?
As a keyworker working alongside another nurse and occupational therapists you will manage a caseload with a range of diagnosis including psychosis, depression, anxiety and bi-polar. You will be responsible for assessing their mental and physical health, carrying out risk assessments and also developing and running a range of groups including psych-educational groups.
Orchard House Day Hospital works alongside the acute wards, CMHT and our Home Treatment Team and is based in the community. We open Monday to Friday 8.15 until 16.15. This part time post (30 hours) can be worked across 4 or 5 days.
Main duties of the job
Orchard House Day Hospital is a supportive multi-disciplinary team with experienced staff who will support the successful candidate and if necessary help them to develop the skills needed to be successful in this post.
