Job summary
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to work in our adult autism diagnosis service . The role will involve assessing and delivering autism diagnosis to adults who reside in Tameside and Glossop.
You will be working within our existing ASD assessment team. Applicants should have a diploma/degree in relevant health/social care field of practice and be qualified to carry out ADOS assessments. Applicants should have experience of working with people with neurodevelopmental conditions.
Main duties of the job
To take the lead in providing specialist autism assessments of adults referred to the service based upon the appropriate use of developmental history, supporters information and any other relevant reports/assessments.
To provide ADOS and on occasions DISCO assessments in line with NICE guidelines.
To carry out post diagnosis follow up appointments with people after their assessments.
To take a lead alongside the service manager in the continuing development of the Autism Diagnostic pathway in Tameside and Glossop.
