We are looking for a motivated, organised and values-driven Patient Safety and Learning from Deaths Co-ordinator to join our Trust-wide Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT).

This is a key coordination and administrative role at the heart of the Trust's Patient Safety, Learning from Deaths and Mortality work. You will play a vital part in ensuring that patient safety incidents, mortality reviews and learning processes are well-managed, robust and translated into meaningful improvement across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive co-ordinator to provide comprehensive support across the Mortality, Learning from Deaths (LFD), and Patient Safety portfolios. The postholder will coordinate key governance processes including Structured Judgement Reviews (SJRs), incident reporting, risk register updates, and the triage of no and low harm incidents, ensuring compliance with Trust and regulatory standards.

The role involves managing patient safety and mortality inboxes, supporting screening of deaths, and coordinating high-level meetings such as the Incident Safety Panel and Learning from Deaths Committee. Responsibilities include preparing and disseminating reports and meeting documentation, maintaining accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR requirements, and supporting audits, quality improvement initiatives, and training events.
