We are looking for a Team manager to join our Psychiatric Liaison Emergency Department Team based at Cambridge University Hospital.
We require an individual with experience in Liaison psychiatry, to join our team responding to referrals from the Emergency department, post hours will be full time (1 WTE) working a shift pattern, covering managerial and clinical duties.
Main duties of the job
Operational leadership of MHP's within LPS in emergency department.
Clinical oversight and governance alongside consultant psychiatrists.
Roster management
Supervision of MHP's within the service.

1. To conduct Biopsychosocial and risk assessments for individuals presenting in the Emergency Department with mental health problems and admitted to inpatient wards at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
2. To be responsible for delivering the quality agenda within LPS ED team in conjunction with the team manager for inpatients.
3. To ensure the team is working towards achieving key performance indicators, such as response times and positive patient feedback.
4. To develop and maintain positive working links with interfacing services at CUH and within CPFT.
5. Ensure the climate and culture for the support and development of student placements.
6. To contribute to other Trust wide initiatives in conjunction with other Team Managers.
7. To undertake Performance Management with all staff (this includes appraisals and supervision) and monitor compliance with mandatory training.
8. To participate in recruitment and actively enhance retention through a quality agenda.
9. Provide a high level of clinical expertise in the assertive management and assessment and care of patients presenting with mental health problems.
10. Take a lead to develop the frequent attenders program in conjunction with CUH.
