We are currently looking to expand our Cambridge CAMHS Neurodevelopmental team, with a particular focus on our diagnostic and treatment pathway for Autism.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Psychologist to join our Team. The teams work with young people with a diagnosed moderate to severe Learning Disability and provide assessment and treatment for Autism and ADHD. The team provides mental health assessments of young people with a neurodevelopmental disorder and also psychological therapies for co-morbid mental health disorders.The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times. Main duties of the job
This post is for an Assistant Psychologist to be part of a multi-disciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service team (CAMHS), with a particular remit to contribute to the clinical work and service development within the Neurodevelopmental Team (Autism Spectrum Disorder pathway).
The CAMHS Neurodevelopmental team works with young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or a learning disability.
The post-holder will be closely supervised by a qualified applied psychologist and the post will have varied responsibilities.

- An upper second-class honours degree or higher in psychology
- Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
Desirable
- Further post graduate training or a master degree in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice and/or research design and analysis.
Experience

- Experience of working with families and/or children who have mental health difficulties or neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Experience of working with families experiencing psychological distress.
- Experience of working in an NHS mental health setting
Desirable
- Experience of assisting in the production of audits or service evaluation projects
