Job summary

We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Adult ADHD Specialist Practitioners - Non-Medical Prescribers. Full and part time hours available, to join our Adult ADHD clinic, based in Cambridge. The role includes assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults with ADHD. You must already be a Non-Medical Prescriber to apply.

The ideal candidates will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times. This post is open to professionals with the right attributes to enhance a team.

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake required clinical work including initial assessment, medication initiation, review, and annual review.
  • Maintaining a visible, professional presence that patients, carers and staff can refer to for assistance, advice and support.
  • Develop strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including the Trust Psychological Well-being Service, Children's Services, Single Point of Access, GP's & Commissioners (where appropriate).

  • Registered nurse or hold other relevant professional qualification and current registration appropriate to the job role
  • Independent and supplementary Non-medical prescriber

Desirable

  • Post qualification continuing professional development
  • Management and or leadership qualification
  • UKAAN Course

Experience

Essential

  • Considerable experience as a professional working with people with mental health needs
  • Experience in conducting initial assessments, including risk assessments, of people with mental health needs
  • Experience of working as an NMP

Desirable

  • Experience as a professional working with people with ADHD
  • Evidence of delivering training
  • Experience of working with wider stakeholder groups
  • Experience in audit, research, and service evaluation work
