Job summary

The Cambridgeshire Learning Disability Partnership (LDP) is an integrated health and social care service for adults with learning disabilities. We are seeking to recruit a HCPC registered Music Therapist to a permanent Band 6 post.

The successful applicant will be a vital part of an established Arts Therapy team, comprising both Art and Music Therapists. They will be an integral and active member of the Fenland multi-disciplinary team, one of the five teams for adults with learning disabilities across Cambridgeshire.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Music Therapist to be part of our motivated team. You will have experience relevant to working within a community based multi-disciplinary team supporting adults with learning disabilities. As an autonomous practitioner you will manage a specialist case load under the guidance of a specialist Arts Therapist. You will be providing assessment, therapy and monitoring of individuals and groups with a range of mental health and emotional difficulties and providing support for their carers.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team of Arts Therapists. You will be employed by the NHS and all five teams are managed by Cambridgeshire County Council. You will have the chance to participate in the planning, development and evaluation of learning disability services including contributing to defined projects. Our service emphasises the importance of regular clinical and management supervision and has a clear on-going commitment to continued professional development and training.
