Do you want to be supported with expert clinical supervision, have access to training opportunities and support to develop your career?

Do you want to work for an organisation that prioritises staff wellbeing and compassionate leadership, including promoting flexible/hybrid working?

There will be opportunities to work within our new Community Intensive Support Team, an exciting new pathway to reduce inpatient admissions and length of admissions by supporting service users, families and carers in the community towards their stabilisation/recovery whilst remaining in their home environment.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a clinical leader who ensures that the highest standards of evidenced based nursing care are provided.

Main duties of the job

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Adult Community Eating Disorder Service, based within the grounds of Addenbrookes Hospital, but will be required to work across trust with the possibility of clinic work and the added flexibility of home working.

It is a very exciting time to join our services, with plans in place to expand and develop our excellent service into a new model for providing care in the community.

As a key member of our team you will play a vital role in developing services including early intervention, medical monitoring pathways and support and stability pathways for patients with a severe eating disorder.

Previous experience in a leadership position is considered essential for this post and you will be required to work collaboratively and independently within our service.

Developing and improving clinical care form the key elements of this post and you will be required to give expert nursing advice and support to patients, their families/carers, the multidisciplinary team and other healthcare professionals.

Working together with Managers, Consultants and Therapists you will help develop and shape the service. In return for your commitment and enthusiasm, working within the unique Adult eating Disorders Team will give you the opportunity to practice a full range of core mental health nursing skills and also to teach, supervise and support colleagues.
