East of England Provider Collaborative

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to host a new commissioning team to support the new East of England Provider Collaborative (EoEPC). The team deliver a improvements in care for people using specialist mental health services across the East of England region.

The initiative is underpinned by the principles of prevention, early intervention, community based provision, and least restrictive practice. There are 6 ICBs within the East of England region . ICBs will remain critical partners in developing and commissioning community alternatives to admission to hospital.

The EoEPC supports a population of over six million people, delivering specialist mental health and learning disability services.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who holds patient experience as central to their practice as a registered mental health professional.

The vital role of a Case Manager within the East of England Provider Collaborative encompasses both Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement. Ensuring that the care received by people in Specialised Eating Disorder Units (SEDU) is of high quality.

We are looking for an engaging, enthusiastic, and experienced Adult Eating Disorder practitioner who can build robust relationships with people, and friends and family of people who have been admitted into Adult SEDUs and with a variety of other stakeholders in both statutory and non-statutory organisations.

Education / Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Mental Health/Learning Disability Nurse or other registered health or social care professional
  • Educated to Masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
  • Possess a relevant additional professional qualification e.g Diploma, Masters level, or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.

Experience

Essential

  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas- AED, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training.

Desirable

  • Lived experience of Mental Health Services.

Skills & Abilities

Essential

  • High-level management skills, able to perform to high level in clinical setting, holding services to account and ensuring effective use of NHS England resources.
  • Case management skills, focussing on the needs of the individual and the context of their pathway in relation to all clinical and legal processes
  • High-level communication in particular skills across a range of agency and professional boundaries at a national level.

Knowledge & Understanding

  • Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
