Job summary

I am Harriet, one of the current Practice Development and Standards Leads for the Adult and Specialist Mental Health Directorate at CPFT. I am a mental health nurse with a background in education. If you are successful, we will be working alongside each other leading an exciting and innovative practice development agenda for our inpatient mental health areas.

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and innovative Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the Adults and Specialist Mental Health Directorate to support our services as a Practice Development Lead. This is a full-time post (37.5 hours) and we support flexible working within the role.

There may be a requirement at times to work clinical shifts alongside colleagues to support the delivery and implementation of identified actions.

Main duties of the job

As Practice Development leads, we are responsible for ensuring continued development and maintaining a high level of clinical safety and quality on our wards and in our services.

This is a pioneering role and as such there is scope for the successful candidate to shape the implementation and work to support the delivery of our clinical strategy. This is a senior role, and you will be expected to demonstrate leadership skills, liaise with Service Leads and clinical teams. You will directly report into the Head of Nursing for the care group.

This opportunity will enable you to showcase your creativity and contribute to the development of the clinical workforce within our Inpatient Services.
