Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist Advanced Practitioner to join the CPFT Forensic Psychiatry Service on a full time permanent basis.
The successful candidate will join an experienced and dedicated team of practitioners to promote and implement the role of occupational therapy within the service.
Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot usepublic transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Main duties of the job
The post holder will work across both teams to develop and provide an occupational therapy service within the community Forensic service through the provision of occupational therapy assessments and interventions underpinned by the Model of Human Occupation (MoHO) and the principles of recovery.
The post holder will form close links with the Occupational Therapy service at George Mackenzie House (low secure unit), Fulbourn Hospital, to promote a smooth transition from secure services to the community.
The post holder will provide professional leadership for the outreach and community occupational therapy service, ensuring that high quality practice is delivered that produces meaningful and demonstrable outcomes, based on best evidence. This will require collaborative working with all disciplines, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to plan and implement a range of specific Occupational Therapy assessments and therapeutic interventions in both 1:1 and group settings.
