Senior Radiographer – CT / Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC)

The closing date is 01 April 2026

Job summary

We are recruiting a Band 6 Senior Radiographer to join our CT team delivering low-dose CT as part of the Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) programme. This is a patient-facing role where you will help provide a safe, efficient and compassionate screening service for people who may feel anxious about attending, the scan itself or possible outcomes. Excellent communication skills and a calm, supportive approach are essential.

The post holder will be based primarily within the TLHC low-dose CT service across two sites, including sessions at Finchley Memorial Hospital. You will undertake TLHC examinations to agreed protocols, ensuring high diagnostic quality while maintaining a strong focus on radiation dose optimisation, patient safety, privacy and dignity. You will support efficient patient flow, escalate non-standard or complex cases appropriately, and work closely with colleagues across the multidisciplinary team to resolve issues and contribute to continuous service improvement.

Alongside TLHC work, the post includes a rotational commitment across UCLH CT services and satellite sites. During rotational sessions you will be expected to undertake contrast-enhanced CT examinations, including IV cannulation and IV contrast administration where appropriately trained and signed off, in line with local policy/PGDs and IR(ME)R 2017.
