University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to invite applications for two substantive Consultant posts in Obstetrics with Subspecialty Interest in Fetal Medicine, supporting the continued development of high-quality maternity and specialist fetal medicine services across North Central London.
These are exciting opportunities for clinicians with recognised subspecialty training in Fetal Medicine to join a well-established, progressive multidisciplinary team, delivering both specialist and general obstetric care.

Main duties of the job
The postholders will:o Deliver high-quality consultant-led general obstetric care, including labour ward and antenatal serviceso Participate in consultant on-call rotas, including out-of-hours and weekend workingo Provide specialist Fetal Medicine clinics, ultrasound, and invasive procedures as appropriateo Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and complex case managemento Support service development, quality improvement, and pathway redesigno Contribute to teaching, training, and supervision of trainees and allied staffo Participate in clinical governance, audit, and researcho Work collaboratively across UCLH and NMUH sites
Job plans will be agreed in line with service needs and individual expertise and will support continuing professional development.

Applicants must: Be eligible for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (or within 6 months of CCT at interview) Hold recognised subspecialty training/accreditation in Fetal and Maternal Medicine (or be near completion) Demonstrate strong experience in both general obstetrics and specialist fetal medicine Show excellent clinical, communication, and leadership skills Demonstrate commitment to patient-centred care and multidisciplinary working Evidence engagement in teaching, research, audit, and service improvement

Essential
- Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practise
- Relevant CCT or equivalent [equivalence must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of AAC].
- Entry on the GMC specialist register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of AAC.
- MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification
- RCOG accredited subspecialty training in Maternal and Fetal Medicine (or equivalent)
Desirable
- High risk pregnancy ATSM
- Postgraduate research degree
