Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic proton technologist, to join a team of physicists, engineers, dosimetrists and technologists in the provision of radiotherapy physics services in proton therapy.
You will have a practical and theoretical understanding of radiation dosimetry and radiotherapy equipment. Experience with Proton Beam radiotherapy would be an advantage but is not essential.
We welcome applications from candidates with a strong academic knowledge of radiation physics who are keen to gain clinical experience in proton beam therapy.
Main duties of the job
To participate in the provision of quality assurance activities carried out by the proton physics group and in the development and implementation of new techniques and service audit, liaising closely with the group section leads.
The postholder carries out a highly specialised operator role in the quality assurance of the proton equipment, dosimetry equipment and patient-specific quality assurance
