Consultant in Thoracic Medicine UCLH are pleased to recruit a consultant Respiratory Medicine, (lung cancer) 5PA substantive post. ULCH is a key trust in the Cancer Vanguard programme and this is a revolutionary time for lung cancer at ULCH. We are looking for an enthusiastic proactive consultant to join our internationally renowned lung cancer team. University College London Hospitals (UCLH) comprises seven separate hospital sites offering general and specialist service and is one of the largest and complex Trusts in the NHS, with a £500 million turnover, serving one of the most diverse areas of the country. UCLH, along with University College London, forms one of the largest centres for biomedical research in Europe and includes the Centre for Respiratory Research.

Main duties of the job
The Thoracic Medicine department at UCLH provides a full in-patient and outpatient service for respiratory patients and has specialist interests in lung cancer, interventional bronchoscopy, pleural disease, sleep disordered breathing, interstitial lung disease, and lung infections and is committed to working with local stakeholders to provide excellent integrated care for COPD patients.
All candidates must be eligible for full GMC registration and either already be on the Specialist Register or be within three months of receiving their CCST/ CCT in both Thoracic and General [Internal] Medicine at the time of interview. Essential qualifications for this post include MRCP or equivalent.
