Tutor Dental Therapist

Job summary

Applications are invited for a highly motivated, dynamic and flexible dental hygienist / dental therapist who is interested in educating the future workforce.

You will work alongside experienced clinical and academic staff to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours - ensuring professional and confidential graduates. As a team we actively encourage innovation in our education and assessment.

Main duties of the job

You will need to hold current GDC registration as a dental hygienist or dental therapist with at least 3 years current experience working within primary or secondary care, experience within NHS is preferable. Educational experience is desirable but not essential, the role is ideal for someone who would like to expand their role through teaching and influencing the education of the next generation of dental professionals.

The post is based at the Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals, part of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Successful applicants will join an established Dental Education Team committed to high quality research-based academic and clinical teaching.

  • Full registration with the General Dental Council

  • Post Graduate Certification in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education or equivalent
