Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and focused RTT Validator to join the GI Medicine Admin Team.

We are looking for an individual who has proven administration experience in a busy and fast-paced environment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet the challenges of working to deadlines. A successful candidate will need to have a track record of involvement with key performance targets and should have experience in data analysis. You will be a team player with the drive and energy to improve the patient experience.

The ideal candidate will have a patient centered approach and experience of working within a busy NHS team, and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. This role will require a hybrid onsite and remote working pattern.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will be responsible for providing validation support to the GI Medicine Service. You will be responsible for tracking RTT pathways, escalating for support with pathway progression and supporting with PTL meetings and actions. You will provide direct support to the wider validation team, administrative coordinators and GI Medicine operational team.

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with Grade C or above in English

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration, Customer Service, Healthcare Support Services or equivalent qualification.
  • Further secretarial qualification (e.g. AMSPAR)

Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable knowledge of secretarial procedures at a high level of competence acquired through either training or experience
  • Proven experience of working in an office environment

Desirable

  • Previous NHS experience
