Job summary

A key driver for the development of this rotation is to recruit, train and develop senior and specialist Technical pharmacists of the future.The postholder will be encouraged and supported to undertake relevant postgraduate studies in QA, Clinical Trials and technical services, and gain experience in a related clinical pharmacy speciality.

o Technical understanding of the stability and preparation of aseptic productso Training and education of pre-registration and qualified pharmacists in Technical Serviceso Effective oversight of the GMP facilitieso Managing Chemo in a busy licenced aseptic facility

Knowledge and Qualifications

Essential

  • Master's in pharmacy and registration as a pharmacist with GPHC
  • Competency assessed and examined pharmacist registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice.

Desirable

  • Additional specialist clinical qualification such as certificate of pharmacy practice or equivalent experience
  • Additional clinical modules in Oncology/ Haematology, Nutrition, Intensive Care, Paediatric or equivalent practical experience
  • Post graduate diploma in pharmaceutical science, pharmacy or another relevant scientific subject.

  • Full time post qualification pharmacy practice experience and full-time work in an aseptic or QA unit with a comprehensive portfolio of products
