Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised nuclear medicine clinical fellow who can effectively deal with the busy demands of a research active imaging department. Our team is multidisciplinary, and you will be working alongside professors, clinical fellows, senior research associates, PhD students to name but a few! We are a world-renowned nuclear medicine team and ardently uphold the trust's strategy of "delivering world leading research and innovation". We need a robust clinical fellow to help deliver an efficient nuclear medicine research portfolio.
We have an extensive and internationally recognised research programme with University College London and other external collaborators. We commissioned the first PET/MRI in this country in March 2012 in the MacMillan Cancer Centre. Currently, a broad range of research studies and trials are underway utilizing advanced MR and PET acquisition techniques. A clinical service runs concurrently with the research PET/MRI service.
The Institute of Nuclear Medicine has a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment including three dedicated PET/CT systems, one PET/MRI system, four SPECT/CT systems (3 of these have full diagnostic CT capability), bone densitometry system and molecular radiation therapy service
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide an experienced level of nuclear medicine image interpretation/ reporting, data analysis to support to the Institute of Nuclear Medicine's broad research portfolios.
You will work closely with the academic and clinical leads to ensure the smooth running of the research activities within the Institute of Nuclear Medicine.
You will be contributing to manuscript submissions for publication of research trial results. You will contribute to participant recruitment through attendance at relevant multidisciplinary team meetings. This will identify participates who meet the inclusion criteria and involve informed consent with the participant.
