Lead Medicines Management Technician, Cancer Services

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated pharmacy technician to join our lively, progressive and dynamic pharmacy team. Our ideal candidate will be:o Interested in helping us develop and deliver our vision for a patient-focussed clinical pharmacy serviceo Able to drive divisional and departmental clinical governance issues, clinical audit, practice research, service improvement projects and moreo Keen to further their career within cancer services

You will be a registered pharmacy technician with a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience in a hospital setting, including broad experience of delivering pharmacy services with a patient-focussed approach.

Main duties of the job

The main day to day responsibilities would include:o Manage the day-to-day delivery of, and support the development of, clinical pharmacy services to cancer patientso Manage Medicine Management Technicians delivering clinical pharmacy services to cancer patientso Provide safe, clinically effective and cost efficient use of medicines to cancer patientso Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and undertake an active role in the safe provision of medicines to cancer patients
