Job summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen at the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to lead the automation implementation programme. The new position offers the rare opportunity to directly manage the formation of a new technology service. The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of the full scope of the automation services, ensuring full technical consideration is given to meet the efficiency demands of the Trust.
As well as being technically competent, the post holder will be required to work across departments and all levels of the organisation, demonstrating understanding of the operational pressures experienced by healthcare services within a secondary care NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job
Manage a small team of automation developers and business analysts, identifying opportunities for automation and benefits realisation.
Prioritise team deliverables and adoption of new technologies and tools, in-line with Trust objectives.
Measure and track the benefits realised to report to the Head of Data Systems on efficiencies made.
Strong communication skills working with heads of departments and services as stakeholders to further develop a strong reputation for the automation team.
Keen interest and understanding of the latest automation technology available and the technical complexities with adoption, particularly within a healthcare setting.
Ability to lead the professional development of the team, maintaining high and consistent standards of processes and documentation.
