Clinical Trials Assistant

Job summary

UCLH, one of London's key cancer centers, is seeking to recruit a Clinical Trials Assistant on 12-month fixed-term contract to support a growing number of cancer clinical trials. The successful candidate will be based within the Cancer Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU) based in 250 Euston Road.

The post holder will primarily be required to provide day to day administrative support to the research team, and manage the current databases connected to several trials within the team's portfolio. You will be part of supportive and dynamic team, working closely with clinical research staff. Whilst the position is administrative, the role is vital in supporting clinical research staff deliver excellent care to patients with cancer. Full training will be provided but the successful candidate will be expected to manage his/her own workload to achieve the goals set by the team.

Main duties of the job

Ideally, we want someone with an interest in clinical research and cancer, good verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel. This role would be ideal for new science graduate looking to get their first experience of working in a health care setting.

We are currently supporting hybrid remote working, allowing a combination of working from home and office-based working. Flexibility around on-site working is essential, and you may be required to attend the office at relatively short notice to ensure that the service is covered.
