Job summary
An opportunity has come available at the University College London Hospitals (UCLH) for a Deputy Trust Security Adviser (DTSA) reporting to the Trust Head of Security, Fire and Compliance situated within the Estates and Facilities Directorate.
The post holder must be operational and strategic, can produce, adapt plans and procedures, investigate, and support the security teams with crime reduction and prevention, carry out security risk assessments, crime reduction surveys, offering security support, advice, investigation, and assistance.
Main duties of the job
The post holder ideally will have a level seven qualification in security, have or aim to acquire an Accredited Security Management Specialist (ASMS) or equivalent and a recognised have or gain a recognised Health and Safety (H&S) qualification.
The post is for a full time professional with the ability to monitor contracts, identify security issues, must be able to communicate, investigate security or safety issues, advise, support, and promote a safe and secure environment. The candidate must be able to walk long distances, be computer competent, able to train personnel, prioritise work effectively be flexible, work independently or as part of a team.
Be competent in providing specialist advice to staff on security matters, reporting to the security management team. Take an inclusive approach regarding security and safety with internal and external stakeholders. Work with the Directorate of Estates and Facilities Management, the lead ASMS, Head of Security and Fire Safety and Compliance to contribute to the ongoing personal development, review and monitoring of policies and procedures.
