Interim Senior Imaging Systems Administrator

Job summary

This is an opportunity for a clinician or manager who wants to progress their career into senior IT management. As the interim senor IT systems administrator you will work within a dedicated team supporting Trust Imaging IT systems including the radiology PACS. Working as part of the team you ensure that these systems are supported and maintained to support patient activity targets. You will ensure that these systems comply with DCB 0160 and are regularly tested to support the Trust's business continuity planning and preparation. The successful candidate will conversant with imaging systems combined with a clear understanding of radiology patient pathways/processes This post requires a commitment to regular onsite working across multiple sites.

Main duties of the job

To be considered for this role candidates must demonstrate a good understanding of radiology PACS, digital dentistry, RIS, IEP, and Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) systems together with an understanding of IT change, and radiology operational processes. They should be conversant with the national programme for digital diagnostics in relation to radiology services.

Key responsibilities:

Day to day administration of imaging systems including first line identification of faults and assessing the severity of these faults.

Participate in the development and testing of the current and newly developed Imaging IT systems.

Prioritise workload taking into account clinical impact and wider team priorities.

Ensure effective communications to key radiology stakeholders and the wider Trust as required.

Imaging systems to comply with DCB 0160

All system changes are approved by the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
