Job summary
University College London Hospitals is seeking to appoint a consultant to the department of Neuroanaesthesia and Neurocritical care at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. The post is required to meet the planned increase in clinical activity this year as well as ensuring a consultant led service at all times.
The National Hospital provides tertiary level care in a wide spectrum of neurological and neurosurgical disease with a regional, national and international referral base. The hospital is co-located with the Institute of Neurology in Queen Square, London WC1. Both institutions share the common aim of promoting research and teaching in neuroscience and its allied disciplines.Please attach CV with application.
Main duties of the job
The department of Neuroanaesthesia and Neurocritical Care comprises 27 consultants and 39 trainees. This post supports all aspects of anesthesia for neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology including Mechanical Thrombectomy. The appointee will have both fixed sessions and work flexibly to cover consultant leave within the department as required. All candidates must be eligible for full GMC registration and either already be on the Specialist Register or be within six months of receiving CCST/ CCT in Anaesthesia at the time of interview. Essential qualifications for this post include FRCA or equivalent.

- Full GMC Registration
- On the GMC Specialist Register or eligible for entry within 6 months of attainment of CCT or equivalent in Anaesthesia at date of interview. NB: Non UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register and specialist register for anaesthesia by date of interview.
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists or equivalent Qualification.

Clinical Experience
