Job summary
A full-time opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated individual to join our Therapy Service. The post is part of the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Therapy Services Team based in the Therapy & Rehabilitation Department at University College Hospital.
This is a permanent post and is not designed to be part of a pathway into a career in Therapies; applicants will need to demonstrate a long-term commitment to the role of Rehabilitation Assistant and the Therapy Team at UCH.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work across Therapy Outpatients and includes both administrative tasks and working directly with patients in exercise groups. They will be highly organised, show effective communication skills and be comfortable working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varying levels of health and/or disability. It is essential that you are computer literate as part of the role involves recording activity on Trust IT systems, ordering equipment online, booking appointments and providing general admin support to the therapists and administration team.
There is regular supervision and in-service training, alongside a supportive learning environment. Your development will be supported via a competency framework.
