Job summary
The Department of Internal Medicine & Clinical Pharmacology is delighted to invite applications for a clinical fellow (ST3+) in Internal Medicine for 12 months from January 2025.
These posts would be ideal for someone looking to develop their general medical skills prior to pursuing higher specialty training or returning from a career break.
Main duties of the job
You will work under the direct supervision of the Internal Medicine Consultant as part of a team of ward doctors to provide care of complex general medical cases, including those with cardiovascular, renal, endocrine and neurological problems.
The role includes out-of-hours work including managing the unselected medical take as well as outpatient clinic work (hypertension & general medicine/ward follow-ups), participating in departmental governance and training meetings, as well as protected time to develop skills in education, management or research, or experience of another specialty.
