Research experience is desirable, but enthusiastic candidates who have not been in academic training but have the potential to establish a research career will be equally welcome. UK-based trainees would be encouraged to seek prospective approval for Out of Programme Experience from their Training Programme Director.
Main duties of the job
Fellows will operate on a rota separate to the core medical staff, though would be expected to lead the acute medical take as the Departmental Medical Registrar in the event of any absences or rota gaps.
The post holder will work under direct supervision of the Acute Medicine service consultants and their educational supervisor in Acute Medical Unit, UCLH. The post holder will collaborate with clinical academics, other research fellows, research nurses, other clinical staff. Each post holder will be allocated a clinical and research supervisor.
