We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified physiotherapist to join the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team at UCH. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated team player to join one of the largest Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.
We are a thriving department in the centre of London that boasts fantastic educational opportunities. We have good links with our medical and surgical colleagues, maternity teams, community facilities and the North London POGP network.
If successful, you will join a strong team of experienced and supportive clinicians. You will carry a caseload of obstetric and gynaecology referrals, as well as supporting the Band 5 physiotherapist on the postnatal and inpatient gynaecology wards. You will be helping our team to deliver, co-ordinate and evaluate the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy service.
Main duties of the job
You will work to the highest standards to facilitate evidence-based patient care, playing a key role in implementing, facilitating and developing physiotherapy best practice in line with local and national guidelines. You will have significant physiotherapy experience at least a Band 5 level within the NHS (please see Personal Specification for further information). Ideally candidates should have a range of clinical reasoning and rehabilitative skills appropriate to their caseload.
You should demonstrate evidence of ongoing CPD, knowledge of current legislation, good interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a flexibly. As a skilled clinician you will be able to prove your ability to assist in the education, training and supervision of less experienced physiotherapy staff as well as other allied health and medical colleagues.

- Member of a special interest group e.g. POGP
Experience

- Minimum of 18 months post - registration /work experience as a physiotherapist with a minimum of 6 months working in a Pelvic Health setting in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with competent Pelvic Health skills.
- Experience and ability of working in an acute hospital setting.
- Experience of working as a member of the MDT.
- Evidence of clear understanding of the therapy role in Pelvic Health setting.
