Join the innovative Clinical Research Informatics Unit (CRIU) at UCLH/UCL, where we are transforming the use and impact of clinical data. As a pivotal element within the BRC, the CRIU facilitates research teams' access to critical clinical data, leveraging electronic health records and additional data resources. Anchoring the data and computational research realms of the BRC, the CRIU significantly contributes to advancing clinical and clinical informatics research.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will:

  • Lead technical project delivery within the CRIU, overseeing resource allocation and utilization.
  • Foster collaborations to drive innovation and research through well-defined data products.
  • Coordinate operational management support systems, establishing synergistic work practices.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for projects related to data access.
  • Contribute to the efficient functioning of the CRIU, ensuring adherence to BRC Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Analyse options for technical solutions, making recommendations to the organization.
  • Develop a deep understanding of local and national health policy, contributing to strategic goals.
  • Manage budgets on specific projects, working with the BRC Theme Operations Manager.
  • Directly line manage the Software Engineering team within CRIU, implementing policy, and ensuring adherence to trust policies.
  • Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, industry contacts, and regulatory authorities.
