Job summary
University College London Hospitals is seeking to appoint a 10 PA Consultant Gynaecologist to join our Gynaecology service with interest in early pregnancy care and gynaecological ultrasound. In the Department there is a commitment to high quality patient care, innovative service models, delivery of performance targets, and excellence in education/training.

Main duties of the job
- Support for General Gynaecology, Early Pregnancy, Emergency Gynaecology and Rapid Access services to ensure compliance with the waiting times and clinical targets.
- Ensure necessary consultant cover to provide safe outpatient care to elective and emergency gynaecological patients.
- Facilitate reconfiguration of Rapid Access service to meet two-week waiting time targets.
- Provide safe care to women presenting with day-time acute gynaecological complaints which require emergency surgery.
- Ensure efficient utilisation of inpatient operating lists.
- Improve care to women with mild to moderate endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain.
- Ensure continuity of high-quality diagnostic support to Endometriosis, Oncology and Paediatric Gynaecology services.
- Facilitate increase in gynaecological activity in line with the strategic trust objectives.
- Actively participate in ongoing academic activity and support development of collaborative research projects in the Department of Women's Health.
The job plan will contain 10 programmed activities per week.
