Job summary
We are looking to recruit a highly experienced clinical nurse specialist to join the award-winning London Find&Treat specialist outreach service based at UCLH NHS Foundation Trust. This post is a permanent position.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will jointly manage a caseload of homeless and vulnerable clients with a range of health and social care needs including but not restricted to suspected or confirmed tuberculosis and/or hepatitis C. The case management role aims to address barriers to accessing diagnostic services and treatment completion. Find&Treat work in close partnership with allied professionals in homeless services, drug and alcohol treatment, offender health and services providing direct support to vulnerable migrants across London. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge in infectious diseases, safeguarding issues, have experience in working in the homeless sector, managing complex treatment regimens and engage in internal and external conferences delivering keynote presentations. They will need to be a highly motivated individual with a dogged attitude to succeed. This post can require extensive travel and some out of hours duties inclusive of the occasional weekend and working outside London at the request of Public Health England.
