Job summary
The aim of this post is to provide trainees to deepen and extend their experience of Stroke and Neurology, with exposure to a range of specialist firms within NHNN and UCLH.
Main duties of the job
The holder of this post will, at first, be based within the Stoke team, although there will be opportunity to rotate through various firms. The post holder will have the same educational opportunities and clinical and educational supervision arrangements as the other stroke/neurology SpRs with NTNs.
Please be aware that, while there is a chance we may be able to offer a place on the on-call rota and the associated banding supplement, this is not guaranteed.
There are numerous educational opportunities in the weekly timetable including the famous Gowers round, the weekly CPC, a weekly teaching seminar delivered by consultants and the monthly SpR Calman regional teaching programme which takes place on the NHNN site. In addition to this there is access to a diverse programme of seminars and lectures at the ION and NHNN and specialist clinics covering the entire neurology/stroke curriculum by arrangement.
