Job summary
Reporting to the Service Manager for Private Healthcare, the Private Patient Paediatrics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating private paediatric patients throughout their time with UCLH Private Healthcare. The post holder will be able to work autonomously and efficiently in order to provide a premium service to patients, colleagues and external partners.

Main duties of the job
The private paediatric service at UCLH focuses on haematology and oncology, and the post holder will work closely with consultants, nurses, other care professionals, patient advocates, and the admin team to manage referrals, book appointments, track patients, and be a point of communication for patients and their families.
Working with the billing team and patient advocates, the post holder will ensure that funding is in place (e.g. Letter of Guarantee or deposits) for each patient encounter. They will be expected to track and have knowledge of the status of each patient on a treatment pathway, ensure all pertinent actions to facilitate treatment are progressed in a timely manner, and prepare reports as necessary.
The post holder will also have to ensure that an effective administration service is maintained for consultants, clinical nurse specialists, and other allied health professionals involved in the care if private patients at UCLH.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate that you are motivated and a self-starter. Building good relationships with consultants and other clinical staff is key as you support their work.
